Character Guide & Reminiscence Cast
HBO and Warner Bros. Hugh Jackman and a strong cast star in Max's sci-fi film Reminiscence. Here's a full cast and character list.
Hugh Jackman stars in Warner Bros.' sci-fi film Reminiscence, and here's the full cast and character guide. Reminiscence was acquired by WB in early 2019 after Lisa Joy's feature directorial debut was being shopped around. Joy wrote the script with her Westworld co-creator Jonathan Nolan, and it quickly drew major stars and Hollywood attention. Reminiscence was supposed to be released in theatres in early 2021, but it was delayed due to COVID-19 before being released in theatres and on HBO Max simultaneously in August 2021.
The original piece of science fiction storytelling takes place in a world where war, rising ocean tides, and memory-searching technology have altered how people live. Reminiscence follows Nick Bannister, a former war veteran who runs a company that allows people to relive different memories. His life is turned upside down when a mysterious woman walks into the shop one day and he falls in love with her. But, when she suddenly vanishes, he is haunted by her memory and searches the globe and other people's minds for answers in the hope of finding her.
While Jackman is at the centre of Reminiscence, he is surrounded by a slew of other actors who help to flesh out the mystery story. This includes some familiar faces with whom Jackman has previously collaborated, as well as a few Westworld stars with whom Lisa Joy has previously worked. Here's a complete Reminiscence cast and character guide.
Hugh Jackman, as previously stated, leads the cast of Reminiscence as Nick Bannister. Nick served in the World Wars for two tours, during which he was exposed to the memory technology he now enjoys using for interrogation and torture. Following his breakout role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, Jackman has had a massively successful career. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Les Misérables, and he is also known for his roles in Prisoners, The Prestige, and The Greatest Showman.
Rebecca Ferguson plays Mae, the femme fatale in Reminiscence's mystery story. She mysteriously vanishes after connecting with Nick, revealing more about her than he previously knew. Ferguson made her breakthrough as Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible franchise. She and Jackman previously collaborated on The Greatest Showman, which also featured them in a romance. Ferguson was also in Doctor Sleep as Rose the Hat and Men in Black: International.
Watts is also played by Thandiwe Newton in Reminiscence. She is another ex-soldier with an estranged family who works for Nick and is never far from a bottle of alcohol. Newton previously collaborated with Lisa Joy on Westworld, where she won an Emmy for her performance as Maeve. Her other filmography includes Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Pursuit of Happiness, and Crash.
Cliff Curtis plays Cryus Boothe, a dirty cop in Miami with ties to Mae's missing person case. Curtis has previously appeared in Fear the Walking Dead and Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw.
Saint Joe, played by Daniel Wu, is a drug dealer from Louisiana who claims to know Mae. The action star was most recently seen in Tomb Raider and Into the Badlands.
Walter Sylvan, played by Brett Cullen: - Walter Sylvan is a recently deceased super-rich "Baron." Cullen has appeared in major blockbusters such as The Dark Knight Rises and The Joker, as well as TV shows such as True Detective and The Blacklist.
